A WORD FROM OUR CHAIRPERSON
A tennis club is one of the best assets a community can have. Tennis is at the heart of our club, but the real value lies in our members who make it what it is. It’s a place where people of all ages come together — whether you’re picking up a racket for the first time, playing league tennis, returning to tennis after a break, or simply looking to be part of a friendly and social club.
As we enter our 10th year at Donabate Portrane Tennis Club, it’s hard to believe how much the club has grown since we opened in 2016 on the grounds of Donabate Golf Club. What started as a vision has become a thriving and welcoming place to play. Today we have six all-weather floodlit courts, our much-loved cabin, and shared facilities at the golf club pavilion — all made possible by the dedication of our volunteers and members over the years.
Maintaining our Tennis Ireland Silver Clubmark since 2017 is a testament to the high standards we set and the great spirit within our club.
Most importantly, our aim is simple: to continue building a friendly, inclusive and enjoyable club — both on and off the court. We’re proud of what has been achieved over the past ten years and look forward to seeing the club continue to grow in the years ahead.

SILVER ACCREDITATION
The Tennis Ireland Clubmark is a Programme designed to provide clubs with the resources to create a Club Development Strategy.
Accreditation is divided into three bands, Bronze, Silver & Gold so as to allow all clubs to achieve a quality standard in areas that are most pertinent and achievable to their club.
Although DPTC is a relatively young club, we were delighted to have been accredited with the SILVER AWARD. This was achieved by being measured against and passing 47 essential elements set by Tennis Ireland.
We are now aiming for the GOLD AWARD, together we can achieve this!
